SCP-1762 or "Where the Dragons Went" is a safe class SCP item in SCP: Unity. It was added in version 0.6.0.

Description[ | ]

SCP-1762-1 is a plain, cardboard box that is 32 cm x 20 cm x 26 cm. It is spray-painted silver on the interior and exterior, and the words "HERE BE DRAGONS" are handwritten in black permanent marker on the lid of the container. Opening the lid of SCP-1762-1 when it is not in the process of a release reveals it to be empty.

SCP-1762-1 will infrequently open and initiate a release of SCP-1762-2. During this time, the box will briefly emit a large amount of black smoke that quickly dissipates; it takes an average of twenty seconds for SCP-1762-2 to emerge after the smoke clears.

In-game[ | ]

SCP-1762 can be found in its containment chamber. Initially, 1762-1 is found locked away, with instructions requiring argon to unlock. Upon successfully unlocking the box, SCP-1762-1 will open and begin releasing instances of SCP-1762-2. The box remains open after this event concludes.

SCP-1762-2 is an anomalous entity in SCP: Unity. It was added in version 0.6.0.

In-game[ | ]

SCP-1762-2 is released during the opening of SCP-1762-1. Upon the boxes opening, 3 instances of SCP-1762-2 will emerge and begin flying around the room. These will then be followed by a large amount of other SCP-1762-2 instances. If the player reloads their save or goes a sufficient distance away, all but 3 SCP-1762-2 instances will have left.

Currently, SCP-1762-2 serves no purpose besides being a goal to aim towards in the game. However, this will change in the future.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Prior to release, SCP-1762 was kept highly secret, even more so than SCP-983 was.
  • In the original article, SCP-1762 is neutralized, however in the game the Foundation prevented SCP-1762 from burning up (hence the box's scorched design), and placed it into an argon chamber to prevent further burnings.
    • It is also possible, though not confirmed, that the memorials left around SCP-1762's chamber also help prevent the burnings, as in the article these burnings were caused by humans neglecting SCP-1762-1.
  • In the future, releasing SCP-1762-2 instances will benefit the player, though how is currently unknown.
